There's something special about the combination of tropical cocktails paired with bitter aperitivi. Located due north of the city of Novara, Lago Maggiore is the second largest lake in all of Italy, and the namesake for this favourite tropical sipper sweetened with the addition of almond orgeat and a blend of fresh juices, perfectly suited for sipping along the coastline.


45mL Novara Bitter Aperitivo
20mL Non-Alcoholic Gin
15mL Almond Orgeat Syrup
15mL Fresh Lemon Juice
60mL Pineapple Juice
60mL Fresh Orange Juice
4 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters

Preparation Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients except for Angostura Aromatic Bitters to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Cap shaker, and shake vigorously. 
  3. Strain into a tropical, tiki-style mug filled with crushed ice, and finish with 4 dashes of Angostura Aromatic bitters. 
  4. Add tropical garnishes available on-hand as you see fit! We love adding a parasol umbrella and pineapple fronds directly to glass, and serving with a reusable metal straw.
